Broken Arrow Public Schools has a profound responsibility to ensure its high school students are college ready, career ready and life ready.
While standardized test scores are important, they do not always provide an accurate representation of every student's potential. Thus, it is imperative educators consider multiple metrics when assessing readiness for life after high school. These metrics may include a 2.8 or higher GPA, enrollment in AP courses, early college credits, completion of industry credentials, attendance records, participation in activities and community service, and many others.
Below are the defining metrics that Broken Arrow Public Schools utilizes to determine its portrait of a graduate and if students are able to demonstrate college, career and life readiness upon graduation from high school. Printable Portrait of a Graduate PDF
